reflections

Go to the tiny fishing village of Amed, Bali.

Actually, go anywhere in Bali that has a rice paddy like the one pictured above.  (Okay, you could do this over a puddle, too.)

Find one that looks like a misshapen square of water.

Find one that reflects the mountains, trees, and sky around it.

Sit somewhere in the muddy grass (or stand).

Think about reflections.

What if each reflection of something led to another world, only accessed by the mind?

Go there.

What kind of world would exist in the reflection of this one?

What kind of people?

What gods or magic might exist there?

What beauty?

What pain?

And finally—how would you reinvent yourself if you could step through your reflection?
